Minimal watercolour II | Day 4 World Watercolor Month

image

I picked out an older drawing for this that I didn’t know what to do with. It felt right to paint it minimalistically so I did. I enjoyed the simplicity once again.
Here I drew over the pencil sketch with a black polychromos pencil and did the rest in watercolour. And blue lips ’cause well uh… couldn’t resist. (@^_^@)

  1. Hello Sissh,

I like the realism on the face, the eyes, the eye lashes, the lips, the expression, the eye brows, even some of the hair, and the softer and brighter colors and lighting effect(s)/affect(s); but I do not like the lower part of the neck and how it looks a bit too long.

    Keep up the good work,

    1. Thanks John Jr! I always appreciate your feedback on my art! You have a particular way of describing what appeals to you and what doesn’t. πŸ™‚
I used to draw lots of fashion sketches when I was younger so I guess the bit about illongating the neck stuck with me since then. And I didn’t even realise…^_^
Thanks for taking the time to comment!

Thank you for explaining that, that makes sense, and some people do have longer necks.
